Ratatoskr
A mover. A shaker. A playful one.
In the old Norse stories, Ratatoskr moves through Yggdrasil — carrying information and connecting different parts of the tree of life.
We bring that ancient function into our time.
Ratatoskr connects people, nature, knowledge, insight, competence, capital and ideas — and turns connection into movement and meaningful action.
We protect, cultivate and regenerate the land — while building the strength, integrity and competence to challenge corruption and injustice.
An invitation
We invite you
We are not presenting a finished concept. We are in the early days of establishing a foundation — and, we hope, over time a grassroots movement — and much of what it becomes will be decided by the people who choose to take part.
The challenges we want to work with are real and serious: the health of land, soil and water, how our societies are structured, and the conditions for people to live freely and well. None of them will be solved by a few people alone, and we don’t pretend to have the answers.
What we can offer is a place to start: a foundation, a house by the fjord, a piece of land, and a growing circle of people who want to expand, create and have fun together.
What you might bring
Perhaps you have professional expertise — in law, engineering, research, farming, technology, storytelling or something we haven’t thought of. Perhaps you have a perspective we are missing, a network, resources, an idea you have been carrying for years, or simply the time and the will to commit to something.
And we intend to enjoy it
Working on serious things doesn’t have to feel heavy. We want this to be a place where people laugh a lot, eat well together, swim in the fjord, make music, try things that might not work, and get to know each other properly along the way. We think good work grows more easily from that kind of ground.
There is a Ratatoskr in all of us — the curious part that wants to connect things and see what happens. If you recognise that in yourself, we would love to hear from you.

Ratatoskr Foundation
Ratatoskr Foundation exists to gather and connect knowledge, people, competence and resources — and put them in motion in service of people, nature and society.
We don’t need to do everything ourselves.
Our role is to discover what matters, connect the right people, insights and resources — and help create the movement that makes action possible.
Ratatoskr cannot be built by one person, or by a few. It is an invitation to people who share this ambition and have something meaningful to bring.
We invite people with knowledge, skills, time, ideas, networks and capital to take part in building Ratatoskr — and to help turn this vision into something real, useful and lasting.
Our commitment
Ratatoskr Foundation seeks to support people and initiatives that challenge corruption, abuse of power and injustice — and work for greater transparency and accountability in society.
Knowledge should move. Power should withstand scrutiny. Nature is something we belong to. Vulnerable people should be protected. Human potential should be put in service of something greater than ourselves.
We will not look away from darkness. But we refuse to become dark in order to face it.
We believe power should always be open to questions and scrutiny, whether in politics, business, media or institutions.
Our approach is grounded in facts and responsible inquiry. We do not seek to judge or accuse, but to support the pursuit of truth and those willing to ask difficult and necessary questions.
A focus for the year ahead: The Epstein files — and their Norwegian connections — will be a particular focus for Ratatoskr in the year ahead.
We have a particular concern for those who are most vulnerable when systems fail, including women and children.

House of Ratatoskr
Where we come together.
House of Ratatoskr is the community around the movement — a place for people who want to come closer, contribute, and be part of bringing Ratatoskr to life.
Some contribute their time. Some their knowledge, craft or professional expertise. Some contribute financially. What matters is the willingness to bring something real — and put it in motion.
And House is also where we live a little of what we are working for. We gather around the things that make us feel alive. Music. Movement. Fire. Food. Nature. Conversation. Sauna. The fjord. Adventure. Creation. Stillness. Play.
Some gatherings are small and personal. Some bring families and generations together. Some take us into nature, on journeys, or into places made available by people in the community.
This isn’t a finished programme. It’s a living community — shaped by the people who become part of it.
We begin in Bærum, by the inner Oslofjord. Over time, House can happen wherever Ratatoskr comes alive.

The Principle of Rest
Not everything needs to move all the time.
Nature rests. So do we.
House is not about filling every hour with experiences. There is room for silence, sleep, stillness, a fire, a book, a walk alone — or simply doing nothing.
Rest is not the absence of life. It is part of its rhythm.
House of Ratatoskr
Your way into House
House of Ratatoskr is a living community for people who want to come closer, contribute and be part of what we are creating.
House participation is NOK 8,888 per month.
But House is personal. Before either of us makes that commitment, we want to meet.
Spend half a day with Christian and Carine at our first House, by the inner Oslofjord.
We meet as humans. We explore what is drawing you here, what matters to you, what you want more of in your life — and what you might bring into Ratatoskr.
There is nothing to perform. Nothing to prove. It is simply a chance for us to experience each other and discover whether House feels like a natural next step — for all of us.
4 hours · NOK 8,888
If we decide together to continue into House and agree on a longer-term commitment, the NOK 8,888 you have already paid becomes your first month of House.
Come meet us
The first Land of Ratatoskr: Dalbo
Dalbo is a large farm in Bærum with nearly 2,000 decares of cultivated and natural land, extensive buildings, and a rich cultural landscape, roughly 25 minutes from central Oslo — a world of forest, farmland, valleys, water, and farmyards that allows for both stillness and powerful gatherings.
Where the movement can take root
Ratatoskr connects people, knowledge, competence, capital and resources — and puts them in motion.
Land gives that movement somewhere to take root.
A physical place where people and nature can meet, work, learn, create and build something that can grow over generations.
Why Dalbo
Some of what Ratatoskr wants to do needs real land.
Soil. Forest. Water. Buildings. Space. Time.
Dalbo gives us the possibility to bring people, nature, knowledge and resources together on a different scale — close enough to Oslo to connect, large enough to take root.
More than a farm
The ambition is not simply to acquire and develop land.
It is to create capacity.
Capacity to gather more people. Connect more competence. Develop ideas. Restore nature. Grow food. Support initiatives. And put more good forces in motion.

Dælivann — The Heart
At the center of the property lies Dælivann — more than a lake; it is a gathering point for the landscape and the cycles of soil and water, for birds, animals, and people moving through the Dalbo valley. We see it as the heart of Dalbo, where many of the project’s most important qualities converge and are amplified.

Part of nature — not masters of it
The project is deeply inspired by Arne Næss and his concept of deep ecology, where all living beings have intrinsic value and humans are understood as part of nature.
We aim to hold the community at Dalbo accountable to this ecosophy: joy, simplicity, deep respect for all life, and a willingness to change both lifestyle and structures so that humans and ecosystems can thrive. Our role is to participate in ways that increase life quality and biodiversity — not only for ourselves, but for the whole ecosystem.
Regenerative agriculture as a human learning project
A core task at Dalbo is to cultivate soil and water in a holistic, ecological, regenerative, and biodynamic way — rebuilding topsoil by strengthening soil biology, water cycles, carbon storage, and biodiversity.
Soil Restoration
Rebuilding topsoil through natural ecosystem processes, soil biology, and carbon storage.
Water Systems
Dælivann and surrounding streams, groundwater, and flows understood as a unified system to protect and learn from.
Animals & Wildlife
Domestic animals and wildlife maintain soil health through natural nutrient cycles and living landscapes.
Coexistence
Natural zones, habitats, and ecological edges create conditions for coexistence between domestic and wild animals.

Support Ratatoskr
Help us put more good forces in motion.
Ratatoskr is being built by people who choose to put something of value in motion — knowledge, competence, time, networks, resources and capital.
We don’t need to do everything ourselves. Our role is to find what matters, connect the right people and resources, and help turn insight and intention into action.
We need exceptional people as much as we need capital.
Lawyers. Engineers. Researchers. Entrepreneurs. Farmers. Technologists. Photographers. Filmmakers. Fundraisers. Builders. Storytellers. And people with capabilities we haven’t thought of yet.
Some will contribute professionally. Some will open their networks. Some will give time. Some will contribute financially.
What matters is the willingness to bring something real — and put it in motion.
Our first major ambition is to mobilise NOK 100 million in capital and resources — not as an end in itself, but to build the independence and capacity to connect more people, support more initiatives and bring more good forces into action.
